Being Black and God’s Elect

POINTING US IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION!
A Lesson From The Wisdom of King Solomon

Here we are today, over three thousand years into the future; from the Times in which King Solomon wrote the following words:

“To everything there is a season, and a time for every matter or purpose under heaven…..He  has made everything beautiful in its time.  He also has planted eternity in men’s hearts and minds [a divinely implanted sense of a purpose working through the ages which nothing under the sun but God alone can satisfy], yet so that men cannot find out what God has done from the beginning to the end.” – Ecclesiastes 3:1; 11 AMP

God’s Plan For Redeeming Mankind Is Working

King Solomon’s words give to us a sense that God has planned everything in advance for us, according to what His good purposes for us are; as human civilization progresses across the Ages from having become fallen in Adam and Eve.

Seeing that God is eternal, and seeing that (according to King Solomon’s words which we’ve just read) God “also has planted eternity in men’s hearts and minds”, there is no reason then, why God would not think-ahead (and plan-ahead) so that in the Life and Times of generation after generation God will reveal His purposes WITHIN us, as He is restoring fallen mankind through Jesus Christ.

God fulfills His plans for our particular generation of Christ’s Church the same way that He has done in the many generations of believers who have come into this world before ours.  He places within our hearts and minds “a divinely implanted sense of purpose”.

According to the words of King Solomon, when it comes to this divinely planted sense of purpose, it is one that:  “nothing under the sun but God alone can satisfy”. God uses the apostle Paul to confirm that for us, in the book of Ephesians where Paul has written:

“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ.  For he chose us in him before the creation of the world, to be holy and blameless in his sight.  In love he predestined us to be adopted as his sons through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will.”  Ephesians 1:3-5    NIV

“For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” – Ephesians 2:10 NIV

How We Accomplish That For Which Christ Has Redeemed Us

In our lifetime as the present generation of this transitional Age in which we now live, God has expectations of us. God’s expectations are for Christ’s entire church worldwide.   And Our unique ‘sense of purpose’ as Black Christians in the U.S.A. in these Times must become generated within us by both our corporate and personal desire to please God in all that we do.   In other words, we will either glorify God by fulfilling His Holy purposes for having brought us forth into this world for these particular Times as His creation; or we will fail God miserably, and miss His ‘calling’ to us as His Elect in this peculiar dispensation.

We are to: under the guiding authority of the Holy Spirit of God, genuinely seek to know and do, that for which God Himself has ordained for each of us “from the foundation of the world”.
